Tanya’s path to becoming a life coach started at a very young age. She was a mom at the young age of 16, and endured several years in an abusive relationship. While coping with the struggles of young parenthood, she still was adamant on living her best life. She was manager of her school store, was the president of her concert choir, and held several academic achievements. This was done while maintaining a high GPA, living on her own, and holding down a couple jobs.
It was through that time in her life that Tanya began to understand that her ACTIONS could help others. She knew other young moms were watching her, and she felt responsible for supporting them on their journey to living their best lives. She also listened to other girls tell their stories of abortion and miscarriages. She started talking to classes of girls about what she went through and how she was always looking forward. It was important for her to inspire others to be the best versions of themselves.
In 2002, Tanya had a daughter that was born with a rare skin disease called Generalized Atrophic Benign Epidermolysis Bullosa. At eight-months-old, her daughter passed away. Again, Tanya wondered what she could learn through this experience, and how she could help others with those lessons. She began a non-profit organization that helped other families of children with rare diseases live their highest quality of life.
2020 brought on even more life experience. Not only was the world going through a pandemic, but in March of 2020, Tanya was diagnosed with breast cancer. She endured several treatments, got sick, had surgeries, and lost her hair, but she still was thankful for her diagnosis. In 2018, Tanya felt led to serve those that had gone through cancer treatment after watching a few friends go through the process. She created a business plan to start a nonprofit, and a group coaching program which was designed to help people as they finished treatment and had to live in their new normal. However, when it came time to roll out the new program, Tanya crumbled. She felt like a fraud because she had never experienced the treatment and what it was really like to go through it all. Thanks to her diagnosis, she now understands. She now offers programs to people who have gone, or are going through, cancer treatment.
Tanya has always chosen the path to help others. She has particularly paid attention to the times when she was going through a struggle to look for the lesson. Throughout her life, her lesson book has added up and delivered a plethora of tools at her disposal to use with coaching clients.
Tanya has worked with hundreds of clients, and has spoken to many groups and organizations throughout the years. She gives all the credit to God, and is always asking Him to place the people in her path that she is meant to help. She is always a willing participant, and eagerly awaits what He has in store for her next.
